Daniel 9:27 foretells that the Antichrist will sign a peace treaty with Israel for seven years and then break that treaty in the middle, or after 3 1/2 years. The Antichrist does this by setting an image of himself in the newly built Temple and demanding the world to worship him as god. The Mark of the Beast will ensure that the entire population of the world will comply. Those who refuse to accept the mark and worship the Beast will die.
I’m not saying that President Abbas is the Antichrist. We won’t know who the Antichrist is until he is revealed. (II Thessalonians 2:8) I’m saying that the increased urgency of world leaders, including Muslim leaders and now the newly elected Pope, tells us that the Peace Treaty that the Antichrist signs is very close to taking place.
It is time for us to practice II Chronicles 7:14, “If my people, who are called by my name, will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, and I will forgive their sin and will heal their land.”
It is time for us to look up to the clouds and watch for the appearing of our Lord Jesus Christ. (Acts 1:9-11)
