“Duck and Cover” was a film circulated to schools in the fifties to train them how to survive an Atomic Bomb. Bert the Turtle would quickly duck into his shell and cover his head when a monkey set off a firecracker nearby.
I remember the “duck and cover” drills when I was in school. Everyone would get down on their knees under their desks or against a wall and cover their heads.
There were Fallout Shelters being sold for installation in your own backyard. They had public buildings designated as Fallout Shelters throughout each city. There was an element of fear permeating the nation.
It was a time when Russia and America were not on speaking terms. They called it the Cold War. Communism and Capitalism vied for control of the world after WWII. Russia feared America for not sharing the secrets of the Atomic Bomb with them. America feared the advance of Communism around the world and an attack on America. The Cuban Missile Crisis in 1962 brought the two countries to the brink of a nuclear war. The Vietnam War was fought to keep Communism from spreading over south-east Asia. Then, during Reagan’s presidency, the Soviets tore down the Berlin Wall. Germany was officially reunited in 1990.
The current leader of Russia, President Putin, has increased his control over all media; while he has decreased individual property rights. Russia sells arms to Iran, North Korea, Venezuela and Syria, among others. Russia is aiding Iran in building a nuclear power plant. Recently, Russia has taken control of the Crimea and has 40,000 troops massed close to the border of Ukraine, calling it a military exercise. Russia continues to modernize its nuclear weapons and prepare underground facilities in case of war. Russia has successfully developed a new long range missile that can change directions after launch. These missiles can successfully penetrate the antimissile system shield that is being developed by the United States. Many say Putin is taking steps similar to those that Hitler took just before the beginning of WWII.

Is WWIII just a few months, or a few years, away?
America has been dismantling her nuclear arsenal; as she feels that Russia is no longer a threat. Yet we constantly hear threats against us from Iran and North Korea; and now Russia has a spy ship in Havana. Even China has challenged America over different issues. The Islamic allies of Russia have one common goal; and that is to rid the world of the Nation of Israel. The major world powers enabling Islamic fascism, and other nations confessing hatred toward the United States, are Russia and China. Although Russia and Western leaders announced the end of the Cold War after the fall of the Soviet Union, the recent actions and rhetoric of Russia indicate that the Cold War continues. Putin has boldly stated that he wants a “Eurasian Union” as one of the “poles of the modern world”; and as a rival to the United States, the European Union and Asia.
The Battle of Gog and Magog:
Ezekiel prophesied over 2500 years ago that Russia and her allies would invade Israel. Ezekiel says that at that time God will fight for Israel with rain, hailstones, fire and brimstone from Heaven. Israel’s enemies will turn and fight each other. The destruction will be so great that only one-sixth of the invading forces will remain alive from the conflict. God calls the birds in the area to feast upon the dead. God will also punish the homeland of Russia with fire and brimstone. The weapons from this war will be burned for seven years. The dead from the war will take seven months to bury. Does any of this sound like it could involve nuclear weapons? God can use supernatural means, or He can use nations, to bring His will to pass. He certainly demonstrated both means of judgment throughout the Old Testament. Atheist Russia has always hated the Jewish people; and many believe that this will be God judging her for her atheism and for cursing Israel.
God says He defends Israel, not because she deserves it, but to magnify and sanctify His Name before Israel and the world. He made a covenant with Abraham that He intends to keep. “So shall my word be that goes out from my mouth; it shall not return to me empty, but it shall accomplish that which I purpose, and shall succeed in the thing for which I sent it”.(Isaiah 55:11) They that bless Israel will be blessed and they that curse Israel shall be cursed. (Romans 11:25-26) Blindness, in part, has happened to Israel for rejecting her Messiah; but when the fullness of the Gentiles has arrived, God will turn back to Israel. Paul says all Israel shall be saved as the veil is removed from their spiritual eyes.(Genesis 12:3)
Israel became a nation again in 1948 and ever since has had to fight for what God has promised her. Radical Islam becomes more and more aggressive with her threats to wipe both Israel and America off the map. Russia is supporting these efforts, using her allies to do her dirty work, until the right moment. Then she will step in to take the spoils of Israel’s newly discovered oil and gas reserves, as well as her other natural resources. Controlling the land of Israel will put Russia in control of the Islamic nations of the area. Russia has a lot to gain by helping to eliminate Israel.
Many peace treaties have been signed and broken. Now the Vatican, the Palestinians, the European Union, the United Nations and America are all demanding a peace treaty to end the conflict once and for all. Israel wants this peace, but refuses to return the land seized in the 1967 six-day war.
The Bible foretells that a seven year peace treaty will be made right before Christ returns for His church. This treaty will be broken after 3 1/2 years, by the Antichrist, as he sets up an image of himself in the newly built temple and demands that the world worship him as God.
The question is, is this the Bible peace treaty that everyone is presently working on?
If it is, then we are very close to the invasion of Israel by Russia; and we are very close to the Rapture of the Church.
Consider the following scenario and note that I have listed the Rapture of the Church in several different positions as possibilities for when it could happen. No man knows the day or the hour, but Jesus gave us signs to know the times and the seasons. Surely we are seeing signs that this is the last generation spoken of by Jesus in the Gospels.
Possible Scenario:
1 – Russia becomes stronger – as America becomes weaker.
2 – The UN, the EU, and the Vatican insist on steps to force peace. (see article on ‘Kerry warns U.S. is evaluating role in Middle East peace talks’)
3 – Syria attacks Israel?
4 – Israel retaliates?
5 – America is not able to aid Israel directly, due to the restrictions put in place by these ruling bodies.

6 – Russia and allies attack Israel as terrorists attack America. This releases the four horseman of Revelation for the start of the last 7 years.
7 – Israel begins to be reawakened that God is real and Messiah is really coming.

8 – The EU rises to control world chaos with ten leaders.
9 – One leader eliminates three leaders and takes control of the EU.

10 – This one leader makes the Bible Peace Treaty with Israel.

11 – The Temple is allowed to be rebuilt.

12 – The Antichrist is revealed as he demands worship from the world in the newly built temple.
13 – The last 3 1/2 years of The Great Tribulation begins.
14 – The Mark of Beast is instituted
Is it time to duck and cover?
The only true covering is the Blood of Jesus Christ, as you ask Him to forgive you of your sins and accept Him as your personal Savior and Lord. All other coverings will leave you uncovered spiritually, as you suffer physically horrible evil from the devil manifested in the Antichrist. Ask Christ to make Himself real to you personally today!
Seriously, how much longer can the world exist with its immoral, Atheistic, Occult idol-worshipping, violent, self-destructive ways? Today is the day of salvation, if you ask Him with a sincere heart. What have you got to lose? A lot!
