Natural and Unnatural Knowledge
Daniel 12:4 says, “But you, Daniel, keep this prophecy a secret; seal up the book until the time of the end, when many will rush here and there, and knowledge will increase.”
Buckminster Fuller created the “Knowledge Doubling Curve”; he noticed that until 1900 human knowledge doubled approximately every century. By the end of World War II knowledge was doubling every 25 years. Today things are not as simple as different types of knowledge have different rates of growth. For example, nanotechnology knowledge is doubling every two years and clinical knowledge every 18 months. But on average human knowledge is doubling every 13 months. According to IBM, the build out of the “internet of things” will lead to the doubling of knowledge every 12 hours.”
Technology and knowledge have increased exponentially, making unsearchable depths of data available to us at the click of a button. Our smartphones are little computers enabling us to Google anything on anyone at any time of the day or night.
Gone are the transistor radio, the 8 track players, and even the cassette tapes. Now it is CD Rom disks, DVDs, and flash drives, with smaller and smaller chips storing more and more information.
Medical science has the ability to keep the corpse breathing for months on life support. Unborn babies can be operated on while still inside the womb. DNA can not only be repaired, but manipulated, while we clone sheep, mice and cattle; soon it will be humans.
Yet our knowledge has not produced utopia, but a society that has more knowledge of rock stars and Hollywood celebrities than about the history of our world, or about Jesus Christ the Son of God, and our own spiritual destinies.
We are ‘enlightened’ lost souls seeking freedom in self-expression, while enslaved to occult practices, perversion and drugs. We favor death of the innocent, while shouting mercy for the guilty. Secular humanism worships man’s intellect. We find ourselves incapable of dealing with the growing crime in our own neighborhood, while we tune out the horrors that are going on around the world.
Unnatural Knowledge is knowledge without God –
Knowledge without God produces intellectual barbarians able to abort 50 million babies, while using inhuman means to coerce our enemies to talk. We are numb to the sight of beheadings and live burnings, even of our own people. Mothers are able to flush their unwanted babies down toilets, or set them on fire in the middle of the highway. Parents abuse their own children physically and sexually, and children are able to brutally murder their own parents and grandparents for trivial reasons.
General Omar Bradley said, “We have grasped the mystery of the atom, and rejected the Sermon of the Mount. With the monstrous weapons man already has, humanity is in danger of being trapped in this world by moral adolescents. Our knowledge of science has already outstripped our capacity to control it. We have too many men of science and too few men of God.”
Listen to what the Apostle Paul tells Timothy about the ‘Last Days’. The last days are those right before the end of time, as humans know it, when God steps in to judge unbelievers and to create all things new, filling it with His Righteousness for eternity.
II Timothy 3:1-13 says, “This know also, that in the last days perilous times shall come. For men shall be lovers of their own selves, covetous, boasters, proud, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, unholy, without natural affection, trucebreakers, false accusers, incontinent, fierce, despisers of those that are good, traitors, heady, highminded, lovers of pleasures more than lovers of God; having a form of godliness, but denying the power thereof: from such turn away.
For of this sort are they which creep into houses, and lead captive silly women laden with sins, led away with divers lusts, ever learning, and never able to come to the knowledge of the truth.
Now as Jannes and Jambres withstood Moses, so do these also resist the truth: men of corrupt minds, reprobate concerning the faith. But they shall proceed no further: for their folly shall be manifest unto all men, as their’s also was. But thou hast fully known my doctrine, manner of life, purpose, faith, longsuffering, charity, patience, persecutions, afflictions, which came unto me at Antioch, at Iconium, at Lystra; what persecutions I endured: but out of them all the Lord delivered me.
Yea, and all that will live godly in Christ Jesus shall suffer persecution. But evil men and seducers shall wax worse and worse, deceiving, and being deceived.”
We are living in an ‘Unnatural Age’ where New Agers are seeking spiritual masters to guide them to a higher spirituality, while denying the one true Savior who is able to deliver them from ignorance and darkness. Occult demonic spirits camouflage themselves as angels of light, leading many into spiritual deception while enslaving and destroying their souls. Demons, pretending to be dead relatives who are trying to encourage and guide from the other side of the grave, end up tormenting you and trying to kill you when you refuse to follow their deceptions any further. UFOs and gray beings abduct people from all over the world and experiment on them, while harvesting their DNA, sperm and ovum for the purpose of cloning their own humanoids to rule the world.
Jesus said He would return when the world was in the same sinful condition as the Days of Noah. Unnatural things were happening in Noah’s time. Violence filled the earth. Immorality and idolatry filled the hearts of mankind. Men profaned the Name of the Lord. Angels fell from heaven and sought the worship of men. Giants and hybrids were born, and overtook the earth as they manipulated the cellular construction of man, animals and plants. Man became food for these unnatural beings, as cannibalism was rampant.
God destroyed the earth with a flood then, and has promised to destroy the earth with fire when He returns as King of kings and the Judge of all flesh.
Jannes and Jambres were two wizards who withstood Moses and Aaron when the latter were attempting to persuade Pharaoh to let Israel leave Egypt. These two men tried to duplicate every miracle of Moses and Aaron, but failed after the third miracle. They were powerless to duplicate the rest of the plagues. Tradition says they also influenced Israel in worshipping the golden calf. Read the words of Paul to Timothy, then read the words of Jesus about the last days, and then watch the television shows promoting new age healings and communication with the dead, while tuning into the number of unnatural events that are taking place in your own neighborhood. Take a closer look at the relationships of the members of your own family, friends and coworkers. What used to be unnatural knowledge has become natural knowledge even for children who should be innocent and unaware of evil. The demonic spirits of Jannes and Jambres are still active, influencing the leadership of the world and the church. These demons want us to worship our own natural minds as we justify unnatural relationships and unnatural affections for people and things of this world.
Romans 1:28 says that when people did not like to retain God in their knowledge, God then gave them over to a ‘Reprobate’ mind. Reprobate in the Greek means a mind that is rejected, worthless and unapproved by God.
In a world where knowledge of evil is promoted as natural, we each need to examine our hearts to make sure that we are not entertaining the unnatural knowledge from demons by being a part of anything that resists the Truth that is only found in His Word and in Christ.
Natural Knowledge is knowledge with God –
II Peter 1:3 says. “By his divine power, God has given us everything we need for living a godly life. We have received all of this by coming to know him, the one who called us to himself by means of his marvelous glory and excellence.”
Proverbs 1:7 says, “ The fear of the LORD is the beginning of knowledge; fools despise wisdom and instruction.”
Anything and anyone unnatural, will not feel at home in the Presence of God in Heaven. Only that which is true and agrees with the nature of God’s character will be able to rest in God’s peace for eternity.
