Grace and Peace from the Seven Spirits before the Throne of Christ

Dear God Today I woke up

A spirit does not have flesh and bones. Luke 24:39

God was in Christ, reconciling the world unto Himself. II Corinthians 5:19

Jesus is the image of the invisible God. Colossians 1:15

He who has seen me has seen the Father. John 14:9

God is Holy. I Peter 1:16

But the Helper, the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in my name, he will teach you all things and bring to your remembrance all that I have said to you. John 14:26

There is one body and one Spirit. Ephesians 4:4

He who is joined to the Lord becomes one spirit with Him. I Corinthians 6:17

We are all baptized into one Spirit. I Corinthians 12:13

The things of God are spiritually discerned. I Corinthians 2:14

We have the mind of Christ. I Corinthians 2:16

The Spirit of God, who raised Jesus from the dead, lives in you. And just as God raised Christ Jesus from the dead, he will give life to your mortal bodies by this same Spirit living within you. Romans 8:11

In the Book of Revelation, chapter one, John was in the Spirit and saw the Lord Jesus Christ in the middle of seven golden candlesticks, clothed in a garment down to the feet, with a golden sash around his chest, with hair white as snow, and eyes as flames of fire, His feet were polished bronze, and His voice as a the roar of many waters.

seven spirits of Christ

Jesus held seven stars in His right hand, with a sharp, two-edged sword coming from His mouth (The Word of God – Hebrews 4:12) and His face was like the sun shining at its brightest.

John says Jesus sent Grace and Peace, as He who is and who was and who is to come. John also states that Grace and Peace come from the Seven Spirits, which are before the throne of Jesus.

There are various interpretations of what, or who, these seven spirits are before the Throne of Christ. Most agree that they refer to the perfection of the Holy Spirit of God, as manifested in the life and character of Jesus Christ.

Jesus, in Luke 4:18, read Isaiah 61:1-2 before the synagogue gathering. Here He is stating that The Spirit of the Lord is upon Him. “The Spirit of the Lord GOD is upon me, because the LORD has anointed me to bring good news to the poor; he has sent me to bind up the brokenhearted, to proclaim liberty to the captives, and the opening of the prison to those who are bound; to proclaim the acceptable year of the Lord.”

Isaiah 11:2 – And the Spirit of the LORD shall rest upon him, the Spirit of wisdom and understanding, the Spirit of counsel and might, the Spirit of knowledge, and the fear of the LORD.

Seven Spirits are listed in Isaiah 11:2.

1 – The Spirit of the Lord

2 – The Spirit of Wisdom

3 – The Spirit of Understanding

4 – The Spirit of Counsel

5 – The Spirit of Might or Power

6 – The Spirit of Knowledge

7 – The Spirit of the Fear or Reverence of the Lord

Revelation 3:1 says Jesus holds the Seven Spirits of God.

Revelation 4:5 says the Seven Spirits are seven torches of fire.

Revelation 5:6 says the Seven Spirits are seven Eyes sent out into all the earth.

God is a Spirit, God is Holy, and He manifested that Spirit in the flesh of Jesus Christ. Jesus demonstrated and lived the Seven Spirits of God’s Holy Spirit, while in a body of flesh. When He was about to die, be buried and rise again from the dead, He taught His disciples that He would send another Comforter to abide with them forever as their helper and advocate. This spake He of the Holy Spirit, which they that believe on Him should receive. (John 7:39)

His disciples were filled with this Holy Spirit, or Comforter, on the Day of Pentecost; and they preached the infilling of the Holy Spirit to all they encountered, and wrote to the churches, which they established, to continue to be filled with the Holy Spirit.

If we, as Christians, are joined to Jesus as members of His Spiritual Body on this earth, then we have the Holy Spirit dwelling inside of our human spirits. Through the Seven-Fold Spirit of Christ we have the Spirit of God dwelling in our spiritual hearts.

We have access to the Spirit of The Lord, to the Spirit of Wisdom, to the Spirit of Understanding, to the Spirit of Counsel, to the Spirit of Might or Power, to the Spirit of Knowledge, and to the Spirit of Reverence and Respect for God.

With the Baptism of the Holy Spirit, we have the Spirit of the Lord residing in us. The Holy Spirit is the Spirit of Christ. (Romans 8:9)

When things are too perplexing, we can ask for the Spirit of Wisdom to come and help us.

When we need to know how to speak or act, we can ask for the Spirit of Understanding to help us.

When we need to hear His direction, we can ask for the Spirit of Counsel to advise us in the midst of our confusion.

When we need new strength to carry the burdens of life, we can ask for the Spirit of Might and Power to help us.

When we need knowledge of His Truths, we can ask for the Spirit of Knowledge to enlighten us.

When we need to be reminded that we can do nothing without Him, we can ask for the Spirit of Reverence for the Lord to help us to stand in awe of His Power and His ways.

Jesus says the Holy Spirit is our Helper, our Comforter, our Advocate, our Truth, our Memory of what Jesus taught, our intercessor, our conviction of right and wrong and the coming judgment, and the Holy Spirit is the Spirit of Christ Himself.

I will never leave you nor forsake you until the end of this age!

When I was a missionary to East Africa, I had been charged of many false things by a national who was unhappy with me for not providing him a salary and a house and a motorcycle. I was summoned to appear before the Minister for the Southern Region of the country, to face the charges against me.

Before the meeting, I gathered together the leaders of the national church and we prayed and fasted for the will of God to be done in this meeting.

In the meeting, the Minister said to me, “I don’t understand why you are not afraid like other missionaries who have come before me. I have the power to lock you up and you will never see your family or America again.”

I replied, “Your Honor, I am not afraid of your ruling, because I, and the leaders of the national church, have prayed and fasted and asked for God’s Will to be done today. I suggest that you bring together all the leaders of the national church, and ask them about these charges against me. If they say I should return to America, then I will leave peacefully. If not, then I would like to be able stay and preach the Good News about Jesus Christ to your people, and help them to be better citizens of your lovely country.”

He smiled at me and said, “Reverend Clonch, that is exactly what I told this man who brings these charges against you, and that is exactly what I am going to do!”

And when they bring you to trial and deliver you over, do not be anxious beforehand what you are to say, but say whatever is given you in that hour, for it is not you who speak, but the Holy Spirit. (Mark 13:11)

Grace, or the free and unmerited favor of God, was with me. Peace, or complete assurance that Christ was with me and guiding and protecting me, was also with me.

When we experience the Holy Spirit moving in our hearts, we have the assurance and unmerited favor of God, to ask for any of the Seven Spirits of Christ to visit us with the type of help we need for that moment in time.

Two weeks after the meeting, I received a letter from the Southern Regional Minister stating that the case was dismissed!

“Case Dismissed” is what Christ will say to the devil (your accuser) when you call upon Him for whatever you are in need of to overcome. His Seven Spirits of power will bring all the Grace and Peace you need to your heart in whatever troubling circumstance life is throwing your way.
