By the Word of the Lord, the heavens were made. (Psalm 33:6)
Jehovah God created the universe and all things by speaking it into existence. His spoken Word is full of power and life. Those Words are eternal and keep everything which He has created alive until the day of judgement when all things will be created anew.
And the Word became flesh and dwelt among us. (John 1:14)
God is a Spirit per John 4:24. Jesus said that a ‘spirit’ does not have flesh and bones. (Luke 24:39)
When He appeared to his disciples after His resurrection from the grave, they thought that He was a ghost, or a spirit. He asked them to touch His scars in is side and in His feet and believe that He is alive.
II Corinthians 4:4 says, “In their case the god of this world has blinded the minds of the unbelievers, to keep them from seeing the light of the gospel of the glory of Christ, who is the image of God.”
The devil came to steal, kill, and destroy all that Jehovah God had made good and pure and holy. All through the Old Testament, we see the nations surrounding Israel as being deceived into worshiping false gods, in the form of idols. They would bring their children, many times their first-born, and offer them to the false god Baal as a burnt sacrifice. They were blinded to the light and truth that is in the one true God. (Have you noticed the attack on babies, children and young people today? The devil is destroying their innocence before they are even born today)
Israel was to be an example to the nations of the world as to who the true living God is and how to worship Him and keep His teachings. Many times they failed and were also deceived into worshiping false gods which Jehovah condemned.
Jesus Christ was manifested in flesh as the Living Word of God. Each word that He spoke was that which He had heard from His Father. He told Philip, “Have I been with you all this time, Philip, and yet you still don’t know who I am? Anyone who has seen me has seen the Father!…”
Jesus then said, “Don’t you believe that I am in the Father and the Father is in me? The words I speak are not my own, but my Father who lives in me does his work through me.”
Jesus removed the blinders which Satan had covered people’s eyes, ears, minds and hearts with. He became the Light of this world, and taught those who believe in Him that they should also become the light to this world in their daily lives.
Jehovah God dwells in a ‘Light’ that no human body can approach as God is a consuming fire of light and power. The only way we will see God is in a Glorified Body like that which Jesus has now.
Jehovah’s Light was manifest in His Word. When He spoke His Word, the darkness that covered the face of the chaotic pre-Adam earth had to recede and allow His Light to come forth and make things a Garden of Eden for Adam and Eve. “Let there be ‘Light’ and there was ‘Light’. This light was not from the Sun as the sun had not been spoken into existence as yet. This light came forth from the very being of Jehovah God Himself as He spoke His Word of power into the darkness!
When Jesus arrived in a body of flesh, He was the Living Powerful Word of Jehovah full of Light, being released into the world around Him.
Immediately, demonic spirits of darkness attacked Jesus and tried to get Him killed as a baby, ridiculed and discredited as a young man, and then crucified as a threat to religious by-laws and Roman Rule. But the devil didn’t know that by killing Jesus, he was destroying his own power of darkness over the hearts of those who would believe that Jesus had been raised from the dead!
I Corinthians 2:8 says, “But the rulers of this world have not understood it; if they had, they would not have crucified our glorious Lord.”
Jesus said, “The Spirit alone gives eternal life. Human effort accomplishes nothing. And the very words I have spoken to you are Spirit and Life.” (John 6:33)
Paul says faith comes by hearing the Word of God. (Romans 10:17)
Can you see why the devil hates the Word of God? Why the Bible is the most attacked book in the world today? Why it is not allowed into schools and colleges and businesses and politics?
What are people afraid of about the Bible? If it is not indeed the Word of God, then it is just another book of myths as they say; with nothing to fear. Yet, the anti-Christ spirits make great noise over anything to do with the Word of God being used as a moral standard and as a guideline for administering justice in this evil world!
Where there is smoke, there is fire….a lot of smoke from the enemy assures us that the Bible is indeed the Words of God under the inspiration of His Holy Spirit as portrayed in the life of Jesus Christ and His Apostles!
The Ten Commandments are still His Word. They still bring ‘Light’ and ‘Truth’ to this dark world. When those who believe in Jesus Christ as Lord and God, they also bring light and truth into this dark world, as they obey its teachings in their daily lives. “You are the light of the world–like a city on a hilltop that cannot be hidden.” (Matthew 5:14)
(Unfortunately, many who profess, fail to spend enough time with Christ and His Word to even know what they should behaving like-this is why we are admonished to renew and transform our minds by spending time with the Word-the flesh hates the things of the Spirit and we have to bring every thought into captivity to Christ)
Paul goes so far as to say the light and truth of God’s Word is written in our very heart, causing all men to be without excuse in knowing that there is a Creator who created us. (Romans 2:15)
People are without excuse today for not raising their own voice to give thanks and praise to their Creator as their God; as the Ten Commandments and the teachings of Jesus Christ are indeed written with our very being and convicts us as we allow it to do so, as we violate those teachings within our daily lives.
God is not dead. He is not silent. He is speaking to us through the power of His Living Word as we read it, study it, and meditate over it in prayer, asking for His forgiveness, redemption, guidance, protection, provision, and blessings through our own spoken words that agree with His Word in prayer and in conversation.
The letter of the Law kills, but the Spirit of the Word gives Life! (II Cor. 3:6)
Religion and Pharisees want to legislate what is right and wrong and wound many sincere souls in the process, causing them to want nothing to do with the church.
Jesus wants to impart the Life that is within the Word to our hearts so that our spirit wants to please Him as we ask Him to empower us by His Holy Spirit to use our free choice by our own will and voice.
Jehovah is still creating new life within this dark world today. Just read the testimonies of those who come out of Islam, Atheism, New Age, Occult practices, after they have had a personal encounter with their Creator through the Lord Jesus Christ and His Words to their hearts.
Jehovah God is still creating new life each time you obey the teachings of His Word, each time you speak His Word in prayer, each time you quote His Word to others, each time you write about His Word, each time you think about His Word in your mind, each time you read His Word, and each time you study His Word. His Word is Spirit and Life. It is not dead but alive just as manifested in Jesus Christ who is alive forevermore and desires to live within your heart today and forever!
You invite Him into your life how? You do so by your ‘words’ with a heart that is humbled before His Love in dying for your sins. Whosoever shall call upon the Lord shall be saved!
As soon as you call upon Him, there is a change that begins to take place within your heart. As you study, pray and dedicate yourself to please Him, you find your spirit being born again with New Life that causes you to seek Him for more of His character in your life and to reveal Himself through you to others around you.
There is light that begins to come out of your spirit and as you speak words and behave in ways that agree with His character you release Life from His Life within you to bless all around you who will receive it, with His Peace, Truth, Life, Love, and Comfort. (Some people enjoy their carnal dark lifestyles and darkness always flees from the light-not all believed Jesus, not all believed Paul and not all will listen to you-some people are not ready to hear-but they will be one day soon)
There is power and life and truth in the Spoken Words of God as He quickens them to your heart and mind. Even as you meditate and think upon His Words, you can feel faith and life and His Holy Spirit bless and calm your soul.
David said in Psalm 119:15.
“I will meditate on your precepts and fix my eyes on your ways.”
