Wow Moments!

Anna was busy praying, meditating in the temple, when she looked up and saw Mary walking by her with a child in her arms. “Wow!” she said, “This is the one I have been praying for. This is the reason I have spent all of my time in the temple. This is the one who God is sending to redeem Jerusalem.” Anna was 84 years old when she had her “Wow!” moment.

You are never too young nor ever too old to have a “Wow!” moment. It can come at anytime and anywhere. You just have to listening and looking for them.

New born babies fill the maternity ward with exclamations of “Wow!” We watch our children give us “Wow!” moments all through their adult life as we rejoice with them in their achievements.

Even nursing homes can give us those “Wow!” moments. My mom suffered a stroke and spent her last two years in a nursing home. The stroke took her ability to say words, except for when she saw me walk into the room, “There’s my baby!”, she would cry out. That was all she was able to say, everything else was gibberish. It was a “Wow!” moment for me and all the nursing staff who heard her.

Angels go “Wow!” all the time in heaven. They went “Wow!” when God laid the foundations of the earth. They sang and shouted over what God was doing and planning to do with you and I as humans. They even rejoice over one sinner who repents and turns to God. They rejoice when a believer in Christ dies, as they escort him or her into the arms of Jesus. They rejoice over all those who will die believing in Jesus Christ as the Son of God during the Great Tribulation. They rejoice when Christ returns to cast Satan into the Lake of Fire and when He creates a New Earth and New Heavens. They cry “Holy, holy, holy and Wow! Wow! Wow!” a lot over what God is doing and is going to do.

Astronauts have their “Wow!” moments in space.

Ed White said these words, “I’m coming back in….and it is the saddest moment of my life.”

Alan Shepard said, “When I first looked back at the Earth, standing on the Moon, I cried.”

Neil Armstrong said these words from space while looking back down at earth, “I don’t feel like a giant, I feel very small.”

Isaiah saw the angels in his vision calling to one another, “Holy, holy, holy is the Lord Almighty!”

John saw the angels in his vision crying day and night saying, “Holy, holy, holy is the Lord God Almighty, the one who was, and is, and is to come.”

Flying over Mt. Kilimanjaro standing at 19,336 feet with its peak covered in snow and clouds, one can only say, “Wow!” The temperature at the top gets down to -20 F and at the bottom it can reach up to the high 90s F! “Wow”!

“God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son that whoever believes in Him shall not perish but have eternal life.” “Wow!”

God loved you and me so much that He left all of His glory in heaven where angels are continually shouting His praises in “Wows!” and clothed Himself in a body of flesh so He could pay the penalty of death for the sins that we could never pay! “Wow!”

He gave us His Holy Spirit to empower us to be able to freely choose right from wrong and to that which pleases Him, bringing love and honor to Him. “Wow!” God’s Holy Presence dwells inside the spirits of human mortal beings! “Wow!”

That same Spirit which quickened His body will also quicken our bodies to change them into bodies like unto His Glorified body, so that we will be able to live and fellowship with Him for eternity! “Wow!” We even will help Him rule the New Earth and the New Heavens and judge fallen angels. “Wow!”

Medical Doctors are ‘Called’ to have “Wow!” moments too.

Dr Reggie Anderson lost his cousins in a horrible crime, and became angry at God. Christ appeared to Dr. Anderson in a dream allowing him to see his cousins as they are in heaven with Christ. They are all healthy, glowing, happy, smiling, without any scars from the crime whatsoever. They assured him that they were very happy to be with their Lord and that they understood his struggles with their deaths, and they were where God needed them to be. Christ told Dr. Anderson that he would become a doctor serving Him in a country setting. Christ loved Dr. Anderson so much that He appeared to him and showed him that his dead cousins were with Him, alive. A real “WOW!” moment!

In the course of his country practice, he is privileged to minister to the those who are dying and to be with them at the time of their passing from this life to Heaven.

His patient, Irene was on her death-bed, and requested Dr. Anderson not to leave her. He asked her if she was afraid to die? She replied, “No, but I need an escort. You see, (pointing across the room), Jesus is calling my name, and I need you to hold my hand.” Her eyes were shining when she said, ” I’m going to meet Jesus tonight.” “Wow!”

Dr. Anderson said he felt a warmth in the room like a warm breeze when you open a door, catching your breath. A brief glow appeared above and to the right of her body and quick as a wink it faded away. He then felt a cool breeze and smelled lilacs, and citrus filling the room. He got to feel God’s Presence as her soul passed from her body through the room into the arms of Christ. He believes that God has him in his medical practice for this very reason; to be a comfort to those who are dying and to assure them that he knows that Heaven is real where Christ and loved ones are waiting! “Wow!” moments indeed! (Read more in “Appointments with Heaven” by Dr. Reggie Anderson)

I have been privileged many times to pray with those who are a death’s door. I have felt God’s Presence fill the room with His love and His peace, as the last breaths are taken and see the smiles left on the bodies as their souls brush by me on angel’s wings. “Wow!”

I have seen my guardian angel while I was praying and I have seen the Lord in several visions and dreams. I have seen my Mom and my Dad in dreams smiling and vibrant and young looking. These are “Wow!” moments that no one can take away and will stay with me forever.

Atheists, New Age, Occult, Humanistic, Antichrist believers are going to be “Wowed!” when they breathe their last breath, if they do not acknowledge Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior! “Wowed!” not in a good way.

You have had them. I have had them. We all will continue to have them, if we stop, look, listen, smell, sense, be aware of the invisible world of angels and of God’s Holy Spirit around us each day, each moment, each second of our lives. He is in the business of “Wow!” moments for those who will believe in Him as the Creator of all things.

Take time to listen to Carrie Underwood sing, “How Great Thou Art!” https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nhvaDJTUmrU Lifting God up from the soul brings us “Wow!” moments!

You and I could be singing in heaven soon for we have no promise of tomorrow, only today. Let’s give Him our voice of praise now while we have our breath. Then when we arrive in heaven, we will be ready to sing with the angels; “Holy, holy, holy is the Lord God Almighty!” “Wow!” You have created all things well and we give you all the glory! You and I singing with angels! “Wow!”
