Your Guardian Angel Knows Your Name

God sent an angel to Ananias instructing him to go to a certain street, to a certain house and ask for a certain man. This man would be found praying, while seeing a vision of a man laying hands on him to receive his sight. The angel called both Ananias and Saul by their names.

Angels know your name.

“And the Lord said to him, “Rise and go to the street called Straight, and at the house of Judas look for a man of Tarsus named Saul, for behold, he is praying, and has seen in a vision a man named Ananias coming in, and putting his hand on him, that he might receive his sight.” (Acts 9:1-12)

Muslims are dreaming of Christ in record numbers today

Iranian Christian pastor Rahman Salehsafari said in an article for CBN News:

“Right now you can see the results of the Holy Spirit,” he said of the growth of Christianity in his home country. “From 1994, there were about 100,000 believers. Right now, there are 3 million. You can see what the Holy Spirit is doing with the people.”

Zana had an angel visit him on a bus, and the angel knew his name.

A Muslim named Zana was on a bus, sitting next to a man. This man opened his bag and took out a sandwich which was wrapped in newspaper. Zana says;

“I was very hungry since I had not eaten regular food in almost six months. I did not want to look at his food but I just couldn’t stand the smell of the kabobs. He turned around and asked me if I would like one. Without hesitating as we usually do in Iranian culture, I asked for one. Instead of one, he gave me two out of the three that he had with him. I asked for his name and he said that his name was Yacub. I had never heard that name before. So I asked, “What kind of name is this?” He said “Hebrew”. “Ahh, so you are a Jew?” I asked back. “No, I am a Christian”, he said. I had heard a lot of negative things about Christians in the Quran so I did not want to get into a conversation about Christianity. But something inside me made me wonder why he believed in it (Christianity)?

I asked if he believed that Jesus was the son of God. The answer was yes. I could not think of any other subject, so I asked him why he was going to Kurdistan. He said that a friend needed some help with something. I asked for his name he said Zana. That was my name. But I thought it was a different person. He opened his bag and very quietly gave me a Bible. He put it in my bag. He knew that if someone saw him with that book it could cost him his life. I asked what it was. He told me that I would find out later.

We got to Mahabad and I got off the Bus before he did. I got my bag and was waiting outside for Yacub (Jacob) to come off, but the bus was empty and he still had not come out.

I went to the driver and asked him where the man sitting next to me had gone? To my astonishment and confusion he said, “There was no man sitting next to you.” Was I crazy or what? I said maybe I was dreaming. But I still had the taste of the sandwich in my mouth. I still had the book in my bag. What was Yacub? Who was he? Why didn’t he go to his friend’s house? Then I remembered that the friend’s name was Zana and only then realized he meant me.

You may not be a Ananias, or a Saul, or a Muslim, but you do have a personal angel assigned to you from birth.

Psalm 91:11 says, “For He shall give His angels charge over thee, to keep thee in all thy ways.”

Psalm 34:7 says, “The angel of the Lord encamps round about them that fear Him, and delivers them.”

Matthew 18:10 says, Take heed that you despise not one of these little ones; for I say unto you, that in heaven their angels do always behold the face of my Father which is in heaven.”

I have seen my Guardian Angel

I was lying on my back, praying in bed around 3 in the morning a few months ago, when I noticed a bright light coming from to the right and above my head. I opened my eyes, turned my head to look and for a very brief instance, I saw a large angel clothed in brilliant white with the light obscuring his face. He was smiling at me. He was gone as soon as I saw him, but he left a warmth flowing all through me and a smile on my face. I continued to pray giving thanks to God for allowing me to see my guardian angel, even if for a second or two.

The world is full of violence and uncertainty, but you also have a Guardian Angel assigned specifically to your care. Give God thanks for Him and ask God to surround you daily with protection, provision and blessings.
