Good Friday and Easter provide us with a High Priest Who removes all Condemnation

“There is one mediator between God and man, the man Christ Jesus.” I Timothy 2:5

There are many today who are called priests, and many who claim an intercessory ministry, yet there is only one true High Priest; Jesus Christ.

The Levitical Priesthood could not have existed without the high priesthood of Moses and Aaron. The various duties and assignments of the priests all centered around them.

God has a divine order among all of His creation.

When the devil disputed over the body of Moses, Michael had to ask the Lord to rebuke him. This implies that the devil before his fall from heaven had more authority than Michael.

  • God is the head or authority of Christ.
  • Christ is the head of man.
  • The husband is the head of the wife.
  • The wife is the head of the children, under the authority of the husband.

The church is  under levels of authority with the five-fold ministry.

Society is under levels of authority. We are to respect and submit to each as unto God, when it does not violate the Word of God. Peter said it is better to obey God than man.

All of them are subject to God. All of them will one day stand before Christ as the judge of the whole world. Every knee will bow before Jesus as Lord of lords and King of kings.

Jesus has been ordained to be the High Priest of all who believe in Him. Do you believe in Him?

I John 1:9 says, “If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and purify us from all unrighteousness.”

All have sinned and come short of the glory of God. Sinners need a savior. Sinners need to repent of their sins. Regeneration or New Birth and Justification and Sanctification, comes from repentance, and water and Spirit baptism.

Believers also sin.

John is writing to the church, to those who have already been Born Again. John is informing believers that they need to repent, even though they are called saints, because all men sin. There is no man who does not sin in one form or another. James says if we keep the whole Law and break one point of the Law, we have broken the whole Law. Only Jesus kept the whole Law. Only Jesus is sinless.

We all need a High Priest.

Since we all sin, whether we are sinners or saints, we all need a High Priest who is able to judge all men justly and without partiality. Earthly priests, pastors, intercessors, can only lead us to Christ. They can never take the place of Christ. Only Christ is without sin. All earthly priests have sinned, and have no authority to forgive our sins, as they need forgiveness themselves.

Good Friday provides the Lamb of God that takes away our sins.

The death of Jesus is the death of the Lamb of God, the Lamb that takes away the sins of the whole world. Without a lamb shedding its blood, there can be no forgiveness of sins.

As soon as the death angel saw the blood upon the door posts of the Children of Israel, he knew to pass over that household. The sins of that house were covered with blood. Death held no power over that household.

As soon as a sinner repents, angels in heaven rejoice, because they know that God doesn’t desire anyone to perish but to have everlasting life. The angels rejoice knowing that death can never hurt those who have repented.

Easter provides the power to have our bodies changed into His Glory.

Jesus took James, John, and Peter up the mountain to see His body changed into pure Light and the Glory of God. His clothing became whiter than snow. His purity radiated through His garments. Peter wanted to build three tabernacles and stay right there forever. It is the same with those who have had Near Death Experiences. They desire never to come back to earth once they have felt God’s peace and love, having seen God’s Glory in all of its purity.

Romans 8:11 says, “But if the Spirit of him that raised up Jesus from the dead dwell in you, he that raised up Christ from the dead shall also quicken your mortal bodies by his Spirit that dwells in you.”

Romans 8:1 says, “There is therefore now no condemnation to them which are in Christ Jesus, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit.”

Jesus becomes the Vine and all believers in Him, become the branches.

We draw our regeneration, our justification, our sanctification, our future glorification from Him. Without His High Priesthood, without His Good Friday,  without His shed Blood, without His descending into hell and conquering death, without His Easter Resurrection, without His ascension to His Father, without His conquering death, hell and the grave, we have no hope of eternal life.

The next time you sin, don’t allow the devil to condemn you, don’t allow people to condemn you, believe the Word of God; “There is therefore now no condemnation to them which are in Christ Jesus, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit.”

Confess your sins, as a sinner, and as a believer, and receive His Intercessory Prayers for your sins, as your Eternal High Priest. Then give thanks to Him for dying on Good Friday, and for resurrecting on Easter Morning.

He ascended to intercede for each of us to empower us through His Holy Spirit and the covering of His Blood, to conquer sin, guilt, shame, condemnation, and eternal death.

All you have to do is ask for His forgiveness and receive the Truth of His Words. He is your High Priest who has overcome all that you will ever face in this life.
