One with God’s Glory

Oneness is not the norm in today’s society. Broken, dysfunctional, estranged better describe our self-destructive lifestyles and relationships.

Stressors in all shapes and sizes assault our emotions, overwhelming our minds, driving us to seek comfort and relief in whatever the world is offering.

Yet, God is the only source of comfort and relief that will satisfy the spirit-man we were created to be.

I grew up with arguing and strife causing me to seek solitude in the woods for consolation. The natural sounds of the woods, as I wondered in awe at God’s creation, restored harmony to my heart and soul.

Yet even when we are silent, there is not true silence due to the many voices in the spirit world trying to get our attention; as well as our own worrying thoughts about how to solve problems life sends our way.

These voices are what many addicts and killers say instructed them to overdose, or to rape, assault or murder. The voices assured them that this would relieve and eliminate their internal strife and pain.

These voices cause many to feel unloved, telling them they are no good, convincing them that they have committed sins that God can never forgive. They bring low self-esteem, depression, and suicidal thoughts and addictive behaviors.

People seek prescription and illegal drugs, alcohol, nicotine, sex, food, shopping, gossip, work, sports, exercise, hobbies etc. to try to numb the pain and to silence the voices. The voices never go away. The self-destruct behavior increases.

Jesus said, “Come unto me all you who are heavy-laden and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am meek and lowly, and you will find rest for your souls.” (Matthew 11:28-29)

God created the world in perfect harmony. Everything and everyone was perfect down to the sub-atomic level. There was no discord in His whole creation, until Satan sowed disobedience.

Adam and Eve were naked and unashamed. Disobedience brought guilt, shame and self-awareness. They sought material things to cover their nakedness, trading fig-leaves for God’s Glory.

Before their sin, they were clothed with God’s Light and Glory from the inside out. They radiated light and the Glory of God through their very bodies.

We still radiate light and energy from our cells, while Holy Ghost filled believers usually have a radiance about their faces. Then you see those faces that show the scars of hard sinful living; lacking radiance.

Remember Lucifer radiated God’s Glory in heaven before his fall. Then he lost that glorious light and became total darkness and the god of the darkness that is in this world.

When Christ returns to establish His Millennial reign on earth, He restores the Garden of Eden. The knowledge of the Lord shall fill the earth as the waters cover the sea. Christ will judge with righteousness, and fairness all the afflicted of the earth. All the nations of the earth shall stream to Jerusalem. The veil of darkness which Satan has covered the earth with, shall be removed. The wolf shall lay down with the lion. Children shall play with snakes without harm. Old men will live out their full days like Methuselah. No more unfairness, no more injustice, no more broken relationships, no more dysfunctional families, no more low self-esteem and thus no more need to medicate emotional pain, as the demons of Satan will be bound for 1000 years of peace; which silences those many voices in the head!

The moon will shine like the sun, and sunlight will be seven times brighter, as the Lord begins to heal all the wounds and bruises they have received from their enemies. Think about it. Satan is so dark that his darkness has dimmed the sun seven times from what it was in Eden! (Isaiah 30:26)

God desires for you and I to be the ‘light’ of the world through the power of His Holy Spirit dwelling in our inner spirit-man. If we allow the things of the world to dominate our thoughts, then we become estranged from God our source of Light. Sin, disobedience separates us from God, as well as staying too busy with the things of this life. Jesus got alone with His Father and instructed His disciples to come apart from the business of life and spend time alone with their God.

Jesus said, “If you keep my commandments, you will remain in my love, just as I have kept my Father’s commands and remain in His love.” (John 15:10) Jesus was one with His Father’s Glory.

“My sheep hear my voice; I know them, and they follow me.” (John 10:27) Jesus desires for you to be one with His Glory. He desires for every soul to radiate His Light. That is what the 1000 years of peace is going to establish for eternity in the New Jerusalem and the New Earth.

God speaks to us in our conscience. This is why David hid God’s Word in his heart; to prevent sinning against Him. His Word gives Light to our spirit-man, giving it spiritual food for strength to resist the desires of the carnal flesh and self-governed mind.

The more we spend time alone with His Word and seek His guidance, the more we will hear His voice speak in our conscience about what is right and what is wrong. He desires us to become close enough to His Holy Spirit that He can just say, “Whether you turn to the right or to the left, your ears will hear a voice behind you, saying, “This is the way; walk in it.” (Isaiah 30:21)

Brother Lawrence said, “I cannot imagine how religious persons can live satisfied without the practice of the presence of God. For my part I keep myself retired with Him in the depth of center my soul as much as I can; and while I am so with Him I fear nothing; but the least turning from Him is insupportable.”

“I pray that they will all be one, just as you and I are one—as you are in me, Father, and I am in you. And may they be in us so that the world will believe you sent me.” (John 17:21)

God desires the world to be a Garden of Eden with everything and everyone radiating His Glory throughout eternity. He needs you and I as His candles. (Proverbs 20:27) Paul refers to it as Christ in you, the hope of Glory. (Colossians 1:27)
