The Bible is Still God’s Word Today!

Bible Spirit and Life

God’s Word is Holy Spirit Filled

“All Scripture is breathed out by God and profitable for teaching, for reproof, for correction, and for training in righteousness,” II Timothy 3:16

God wrote us a letter, but it is very lengthy and can be confusing.  Because of this, many people have never read the whole letter to understand what God is trying to say to us. Some hear portions spoken from the pulpit, or in Bible Study, while others take portions of scriptures out of context and use them to form their own teachings, or to attack the validity of the Bible. Few have disciplined themselves to read a few chapters each day to be able to read the Bible through in a year with an objective mind.

The Bible can be considered an anthology of 66 books, written by 40 different authors over a period of 1600 years, on three different continents. It is not the easiest book to read; and many people fail to read the Bible through, completely, for this very reason. To complicate things, it was written in Hebrew, Greek and Aramaic, then translated into Latin and German, as well as many other languages, before we received our first English translation of the New Testament by William Tyndale in 1526 AD. The whole Bible was translated into English by Myles Coverdale in 1535 AD. Since the printing press was invented in 1455 AD by Gutenberg, the Bible has remained the best-selling book in the world, with many different translations to choose for devotions or for study. (Many died for translating the Bible into English and then distributing it to the populace – remember that when you use it as coffee coaster).

If you read the Bible straight through, aloud, it will take 70 hours and 40 minutes. It takes 18 Hours and 20 minutes to read through the New Testament.

I have read the Bible many times, and in many different translations. I sleep with a Bible underneath my pillow, knowing that it is indeed ‘Spirit’ and ‘Life’ of God’s Holy Spirit.

Many people want to say the Bible is old-fashioned, a book of myths, a collection of writings put together by early church leaders to mislead people into believing something that is not true, and that it has no relevance for anyone today in our age of enlightenment. (Society is pretty evil for being enlightened?) Yet the Bible remains the number one book that people buy, and its teachings are sweeping Asia and Africa, duplicating the miracles of the Book of Acts today, while the enlightened West denies its Life giving power. The Bible is still very much alive in Asia and Africa, according to a WND News article entitled, The Book of Acts is back! Miracles, signs and visions”

Megashift

In  Mega Shift, James Rutz coins a new phrase to define this fast-growing segment of the population. He calls them “core apostolics” – or “the new saints who are at the heart of the mushrooming kingdom of God.”

Rutz makes the point that Christianity is overlooked as the fastest-growing faith in the world because most surveys look at the traditional Protestant denominations and the Roman Catholic Church, while ignoring Christian believers who have no part of either.

He says there are 707 million “switched-on disciples” who fit into this new category, and that this “church” is exploding in growth.

The Devil hates the Bible!

My first experience in casting demons out was with two other ministers who had been working with a young man caught up in alcohol and drugs and other vices. When I arrived, one minister was holding his arms down, while the other one was holding his legs down, with the young man on his back on the floor, fighting with demonic strength. I was young, full of faith, and bold; and I just threw off my coat, grabbed my Bible, straddled the man’s chest, and starting rebuking the demons in the Name of Jesus Christ.  The demons reacted by trying to throw all three of us off the man and spewing out very filthy, vile language at us. You could feel the evil permeate the room.

I took my Bible and held it before the man’s face and said, “Devil, I command you in Jesus Name to look at this Bible!” The man’s head quit thrashing back and forth and looked straight at the Bible in my hand, with his eyes becoming big as silver dollars.

I said, “This Bible says you have to obey us in the Name of Jesus Christ who defeated you at Calvary! I command you in the Name of Jesus Christ to come out of this man and enter no more into him!”

You could feel the swish of the evil spirits as they passed out of the man and by us as they left the room. The room was filled with peace, and the Presence of God, while the man relaxed, quit his fighting us and smiled as he raised his hands to worship and thank His Lord. He lay there for another 30 minutes or so, speaking in a heavenly language as the Holy Spirit filled his heart and soul.

This is why I believe that the Bible is the Word of God; and that it was breathed upon Holy men of God who wrote it down in the original Hebrew and Greek and Aramaic as they spent hours in prayer and fasting, with God moving upon them to write what He wanted communicated to His people.

People can speak ill of the Bible all they want, but when they die, they will stand before Jesus Christ as the Judge of all the earth, and give account according to the very Words that God has quickened to their hearts, and which they have chosen to make fun of and deny.

I have seen many demonic spirits cast out in Africa, in Ohio, and in Maryland, by the Name of Jesus Christ, while quoting Scripture stating the devil’s defeat. Jesus Christ has not changed. He is still the same yesterday, today, and forever. He is not far from anyone of us, if we only seek after Him. The world is too busy seeking after the things of this world, to have any time left to seek after the True Bread of Life, but that all will change in the near future when America is absorbed into a One World Government that will eventually be ruled by the Antichrist. I can guarantee you that people will be reading their Bibles and seeking their Lord then.

Why not ask Him to forgive you and seek Him today?

Malachi Martin’s witness to the demonic and their hate for God’s Word and Name

hostage to the devil

If you really want to understand the Spiritual Authority of the Bible, I recommend that you read Father Malachi Martin’s book, Hostage to the Devil. You will soon see that the demonic world hates the Bible and the Name of Jesus Christ. The following is just one quote from his book.

“You are never quite at home in this human world ever again after an exorcism,” he said slowly. He sat down again and explained. After an exorcism the exorcist hears and sees and thinks and talks as he always did. But now he perceives on two planes. Spirit is everywhere. Flesh and matter is only “our picture” of what’s there. And it’s not all good. There’s evil and good hidden in that “picture.” After an exorcism you always know, if you didn’t know it before. You are now walking with double vision, a second sight, as the old people used to say.”

“You believe that God is one; you do well. Even the demons believe—and shudder!” James 2:19
