God is the Governor of the Nations
- God took the sons of Noah and divided the earth into nations per Genesis chapter ten.
- The descendants of Ham inhabited northwestern Africa.
- The descendants of Shem inhabited modern-day Iraq, Iran and eastern Saudi Arabia.
- The descendants of Japheth inhabited India and other groups of Europe.
- Deuteronomy 32:8 reads, “When the Most High assigned lands to the nations, when he divided up the human race, he established the boundaries of the peoples according to the number in his heavenly court.”
According to the Bible and other historical Jewish writings, God divided the nations according to the number of ‘Holy Angels or Holy Watchers’ in His heavenly court.
“I saw in the visions of my head as I lay in bed, and behold, a watcher, a holy one, came down from heaven.” Daniel 4:13
“The sentence is by the decree of the watchers, the decision by the word of the holy ones, to the end that the living may know that the Most High rules the kingdom of men and gives it to whom he will and sets over it the lowliest of men.” Daniel 4:17
“Now there was a day when the sons of God came to present themselves before the Lord, and Satan also came among them.” Job 1:6
It appears that God has a heavenly council just like pastors have a board of elders, just like Mayors of cities and presidents of countries have a cabinet of advisors. Even the devil was allowed to make an appearance before the council to give an account of where he had been as recorded in the Book of Job.
When Daniel prayed over the Scripture of Jeremiah 29:10, he was burdened to go on a fast for 21 days, to seek God for forgiveness for his people, asking God for mercy in restoring them as a blessed nation before the world.
While he was praying the angel Gabriel came to him with some unusual words. Gabriel said Daniel’s prayer was heard from day one of his fasting and prayer, but a ‘watcher’ known as the Prince of Persia withstood him (withstood Gabriel) for 21 days. He fought so intensely with this demonic angelic watcher that God had to send Michael to help him fight, so Gabriel could deliver his message from God to Daniel. Gabriel goes on to say that there was also a ‘watcher’ demonic angel who he was going to have to fight soon; the prince of Greece.
History shows us that the Kingdom of Babylon was conquered by the Kingdom of Persia, and that the Kingdom of Persia was conquered by the Kingdom of Greece. Gabriel had to fight against the evil principality watcher over Persia to be able to answer Daniel’s prayer.
Satan told Jesus that he could give Him all the kingdoms of this world if He bowed down to worship him as god.
Paul tells us, “For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places.” Ephesians 6:12
John tells us, “We know that we are children of God and that the world around us is under the control of the evil one.” I John 5:19
Daniel also informs us that God has His ‘Watcher’ angel over Israel as Michael. Daniel 12:1
This means that God also has His Holy Watcher Angels over America and all the nations of the world. Just as each individual has a Guardian Angel watching over them throughout their life, each nation has guardian angels watching over them throughout their existence.
God told Moses, “Behold, I send an angel before you to guard you on the way and to bring you to the place that I have prepared.” Exodus 23:20
Jesus tells us that each child has a guardian angel. “Beware that you don’t look down on any of these little ones. For I tell you that in heaven their angels are always in the presence of my heavenly Father.” Matthew 18:10
The devil is an imitator. He also duplicates whatever God does. He is a copycat. He has his own evil order of fallen angels who also watch over nations and individuals.
There is a literal battle for nations and souls going on in the invisible spiritual world above and around us. Those who pray for souls to be saved and for nations to be open to the Gospel literally ‘wrestle’ with these dark evil spiritual beings of the devil, with the assistance of God’s Holy angels, just like Daniel did for 21 days.

Christians from many nations gathered in the heart of Israel to pray and fast for the fate of the United States. Americans knelt on stage as the faithful prayed. Organizers instructed them to pray like never before for a just God to deliver his most Christian nation. They called it the Jerusalem Global Gathering.
A large prayer group had gathered in Dallas, hosted by Ken Copeland ministries. It was broadcast by the Daystar channel. Presenters David Barton and former Rep. Michele Bachmann, R-Minn., invited viewers to join in prayer.“At the precise moment we began broadcasting on Daystar,” Bachmann told WND, “as the polls were still open, and a national audience of believers joined together and prayed in concert, we literally saw the race break in favor of Trump.”
“At that very minute.”
“We knew it was at the exact same time that believers joined in corporate prayer on behalf of voting for a godly platform. Believers brought the Lord into this election, and that made all the difference,” added the devout believer.
“That is the story of last night’s victory. I have no doubt. The strong right arm of a holy God heard the prayers of His people and graciously answered our prayers,” Bachmann reflected.
“It truly explains the Trump victory. I have no doubt. No man can take the credit. Only the strong right arm of a merciful God.”
But that was in harmony with the “believers interceding on behalf of the American election last night in Jerusalem, praying in concert with those of us praying in America.”
And there is no doubt someone was listening.
In addition to the hundreds-of-millions of viewers within Daystar’s reach, the event drew about a million views online.
Bachmann said there had been a genuine repentance and coordinated beseeching of God. She told WND, “We saw the effective fervent prayers of righteous believers availing much.”
Did God just send His Holy Watcher Angels to hold back the dark evil watcher fallen angels of the devil? Is God going to use the ‘lowliest of men’ to help guide America back to Godly morals and ethics?
Donald Trump has surprised everyone with his lack of polish, his lack of Harvard education, his lack of political experience; he truly could be called the ‘lowliest of men’ compared to the ‘elite’.
Jesus tells us, “But those who exalt themselves will be humbled, and those who humble themselves will be exalted.” Matthew 23:12
God is still the Governor of all the nations of the world and He will bring to pass every promise given to Abraham and His Prophets about the last days and Israel. Let’s use this time by rededicating ourselves to prayer and fasting for the souls of men and for the nations to be open to the Word of God. Maybe then God can send His final revival and reap His harvest, so He can return for His bride and set up His earthly Kingdom as King of kings.
