The Tabernacle Plan of Salvation-Repentance

God gave Moses the Tabernacle Plan. It was built after the pattern of Heaven. (Hebrews  8:5, 9:23-24)

The Brazen Altar was a place of death and shedding of Blood. Lambs and bulls were offered as sacrifices.

We all have sinned and come short of the Glory of God. (Romans 3:23)

There is no man who does not sin, whether he is a saint or sinner. (Isaiah 64:6-7)

We are all born into sin. (Psalm 51:5)

The wages of sin is physical and spiritual death. (Romans 6:23)

Jesus died for our sins. (Romans 5:8)

Jesus Christ was our perfect sacrifice: the Lamb of God who takes away the sin of the world. (John 1:29, Isaiah 53:7, Hebrews 9:28)

Our bodies are to become a living sacrifice, by dying daily to fleshly desires. (Romans 6:6, 8:36, Galatians 2:20)

Repentance is confessing our sins on a daily basis; this requires denying our selfish desires.

We have to die to self before we can enter the Presence of God, just as the priests could not enter the Tabernacle but by way of the altar of sacrifice.

The Blood of Christ replaces the blood of animals, as Atonement for our souls. (Leviticus 17:11, Hebrews 9:11-14)

When the Children of Israel brought sacrifices to the priest to be offered for their transgressions of the Law, they received forgiveness for their sins temporarily. (Hebrews 7:19)

John the Baptist preached Repentance before he baptized with water. (Mark 1:4-5)

Jesus preached repentance before His disciples baptized with water. (Matthew 4:17, John 3:22-23, John 4:1-2)

Peter preached repentance on the Day of Pentecost. (Acts 2:38)

Peter preached repentance in Acts 3:19.

Peter preached repentance in Acts 5:31-32, 11:18, 13:24, 19:4, 20:21, 26:20.

Peter preached repentance in Acts 8:22.

Paul preached repentance in Acts 17:30 & Acts 26:20.

Jesus preached repentance to the seven churches in Revelation. Revelation 1:5, 16, 21, 22, & Revelation 3:3, 19.

Paul teaches that God’s goodness leads us to repentance in Romans 2:4.

Paul teaches that godly sorrow works repentance to salvation in II Corinthians 7:9-10.

Repentance is one of the basic teachings of the Gospel. (Hebrews 6:1)

Peter teaches the church that Jesus is longsuffering toward us, willing that all should come to repentance. (II Peter 3:9)

Repentance fulfills the Brazen Altar of the Tabernacle Plan.

Repentance is dying to our self and accepting the sacrifice of Jesus Christ as our Lamb.

Jesus bore our sins, so if we confess our sins with our mouth and believe in our heart, He will forgive our sins, as our High Priest who ever lives to make intercession for us. (Romans 10: 8-13, Hebrews 7:25)

The Brazen Altar and Repentance are the first steps toward entering into the Presence of God dwelling in the Holy of Holies.

We will expound on the Laver of Water in the next post.
