Angels Escorting the Dying To Jesus

I have been privileged to pray with people who are ready to breathe their last breaths. I say privileged because I have witnessed on quite a few times the Presence of God and His angels sweep into the room comforting the dying.

One dear old saint who had lived her whole life as a prayer warrior, lay unresponsive on her hospital bed. The doctor said that her death could come at any moment.

When I took her hand in mine to pray for her, she did not respond to mine squeezing hers. As I began to pray in the Holy Ghost, I felt her hand grip mine. I opened my eyes, and she was not looking at me, but she was praying in tongues. She was looking up and behind me.

I turned to look, but I did not see anything or anyone. I went on praying and she then smiled at me, as she looked again up and behind me. Then, she closed her eyes, still smiling, let go of my hand, and went to be with her Lord. Immediately, I felt the whole room filled with the glory of His Presence. I know that her angels were there to escort her to meet Jesus.

Jesus said a beggar died and was carried by the angels into Abraham’s Bosom, but a rich man died and was buried, finding his soul in hell being tormented. (Luke 16:19-31)

Guardian angels watch over us, and they are there to escort us through enemy territory to meet our Lord.

Abraham’s Bosom has been transferred to Paradise. Jesus told the thief on the cross that he would be with Him in Paradise. The death, burial, and resurrection of Christ allowed His Blood to cover the sins of the righteous souls in Abraham’s Bosom, and allowed Jesus to lead them to Paradise upon His ascension to His Father.

The graves of many saints were opened the moment Jesus gave up His Spirit on the cross.

Paul said he was caught up to the third heaven, which he called Paradise.

Jesus and Paul taught that when we die as a believer, that we are immediately with the Lord.

The Lord has cleansed the heavens from Lucifer’s sin, and now allows us to be with Him the moment we breathe our last breath here on earth.

Sometimes, God allows relatives to show up shortly before one dies. They come as a comfort, and to reassure the dying that all will be all right and they will be together soon.

My dad died of pneumonia in 1999. My mom saw dad two years before she died in 2006. Dad appeared to Mom while she was praying one night lying in bed. She looked up and saw him by the ceiling looking down at her and smiling. No words were exchanged, just a loving smile. Was this to comfort her knowing that she would be with him soon? Did dad know that she would suffer strokes and dementia in a nursing home for two years?

One lady was about to die of pancreatic cancer while her husband was at another nursing home with Alzheimer’s.

The family was gathered around her, when she suddenly said, “Joseph died. Why didn’t anyone tell me this?”

“Mom, daddy isn’t dead. He’s still in a nursing home.”

The daughter decided she would call and arrange for her dad to visit before mom died. Mom insisted the he had already died and said goodbye, saying she would be with him soon.

Mom said, “Look, there he is!” She was staring beyond anyone in the room and her eyes filled with tears.

The nurse came into the room calling the daughter over to the nurse’s station. “I don’t know how to tell you this. I called the nursing home, and Joseph died about fifteen minutes ago. He had a heart attack.”

The mother died two days later.

Take time to give thanks for your guardian angels and to give praise and worship to your Lord Jesus Christ for His loving care. Both Jesus, and your angels will be with you throughout your lifetime, and meet you at your dying breath. Peace and Love beyond earthly words belong to us now and for eternity as heirs of Christ.
