Praying for Jerusalem’s Peace

Aaron was commanded by Jehovah God to bless the Children of Israel with a “Priestly Blessing” as found in Numbers 6:4.

“The Lord bless and keep you;

The Lord make His face to shine upon you;

The Lord lift up His countenance upon you

And give you PEACE.”

The Hebrew word for peace is Shalom from the root word shalam meaning “to be safe in mind, body, or estate.” Biblical shalom indicates an inward sense of completeness or wholeness or inner tranquility.

Today, when Israelites say “Shalom,” they are saying, “May you be full of well-being’ or, “May health and prosperity be upon you.”

God told Aaron to bless Israel with peace as they were ready to conquer the Promised Land which would include war and destroying cities. God was not referring to lack of war, but to the inner peace and completeness, He would give by His protection and His Presence going with Israel as they fought their battles. (Jesus promised believers the same type of peace when He said that we would have tribulation in this world, but that He would give us peace in the middle of it all.)

David taught us to “Pray for the peace of Jerusalem.” (Psalm 122:6) Jesus wept over Jerusalem when they failed to recognize Him as their Messiah.

When we pray for Jerusalem today, we are asking that God bless her with an inward sense of completeness, that she will be full of well-being, that health and prosperity will be upon her, and that she will have that inner tranquility of knowing Jesus Christ as her Lord and Savior as she stands against her enemies maintaining the promises made to Abraham and God’s Covenant to David to establish His Kingship from Jerusalem during His Millennial reign.

Iran and Islam desire to wipe Israel off the map. Daniel and other Old Testament prophets foretold of wars being fought over the land of Israel. Jesus foretold that Israel would accept the antichrist after she rejected Him as her true Messiah. Revelation details the battle of the antichrist and his allies against Israel during the Great Tribulation. Israel eventually turns to Jesus Christ before Armageddon. Jesus establishes His 1000 years of peace ruling as King of kings from Jerusalem.

Israel is God’s Time Clock for the Rapture. As The US Embassy moves to Jerusalem, the clock is ready to strike the “Fullness of Time” where the nations will come together to neutralize Israel, as well as America, from being an obstacle to the One World Order. When the Lawless One is ready to be revealed, then Christ descends from heaven to snatch His bride away from the devil’s antichrist.

God promised Abraham to bless those who bless Israel. (Genesis 12:3)

  • If you desire peace in your spirit, then pray for peace in the spirit of Israel.
  • If you desire blessing in your own life, then pray for the blessing of Israel.
  • If you desire prosperity in your own life, then pray for the prosperity of Israel.
  • If you desire inner tranquility in your own life, then pray for the inner tranquility of Israel.

Bless yourself, your loved ones, America and Israel with Aaron’s Blessing.

May the Lord bless and keep you;

May the Lord make His face to shine upon you;

May the Lord lift up His countenance upon you;

May the Lord give you PEACE.”
